Third Year -
Rochester's Craft and Design Centre

The main aim for the design of this scheme was to create a new urban space for the community to learn and work. Linking to its historic industries of the arts and crafts the aim was to create a centre to teach the once forgotten crafts and revive the industry back to Rochester, to help boost the economy for the area. With a very low  percentage of those with university degree qualifications the Design & Craft centre would aim to provide a place in which those not receiving higher education could learn a new craft to start and sell their own products.

Third Year -
Rochester's Museum of Navigation

The brief set out to add an extension onto the existing Guildhall museum as well as renovating the existing spaces. The main aim for the design of this scheme was to revive the museum back to what it once was by adding a series of new exhibition spaces.

Second Year -
Faversham's Adaptation Housing

The brief set out for the masteplan design which was done as a group of the surrounding area of the Faversham Creek. The second assignment for the brief was to then design a series of dwellings for a site on the creek which was individually chosen.

For this particular scheme the focus was on Faversham’s industrial history. With the dwellings sitting on a site that was previously used as an oil depot the main aim was to recreate the traditional looking house with industrial interventions. This was done with its use of materials, using a mixture of metal and wood for the clad of the houses.
